I recently tried painting on a piece of flagstone that I bought, and I am officially hooked!
It was very interesting and fun, so I've decided to continue this along with
my canvas paintings, and devote a page to my finished works.
I will be painting on all different shapes and sizes, and all
will have thier own unique texture. I spray my finished
stones with several layers of a clear finish to
protect them for years to come.
Stone art can be displayed outdoors, but will need to be periodically
coated again to protect it from the elements.

This stone was perfect for a mountain scene. Painted with acrylic paints, and coated
with several layers of varnish. The picture does not do justice to the actual
painting. I'll have to do more toying around with the lighting and the camera to see if
I can get a more acurate representation. If you like the image here though, you can
be assured you will love the actuall painting in person.
